Our Consultants
Elder
Care Referral Services, Inc. dba: About
Elder Care (AEC) was established in 1991 and
was the first full service consulting firm in
the Sacramento area to help families determine
senior care options and specialize in assisted
care facility placements for seniors. AEC care
consultants provide information and personal
guidance to caregivers and families and refer
them to assisted care facilities where reliable
care and assistance for a loved one is provided.
AEC is staffed with professionals
who have a wide variety of credentials and over
four decades of experience in the senior and
health care fields including registered nursing,
social services, Alzheimer’s and dementia,
gerontology, assisted living facility management
and marketing and board and care home ownership
and management.

Jerry
Schreck has a B.S. degree in marketing
from Northern Illinois University and is
president of Elder Care Referral Services,
Inc. (ECRS)
dba: About Elder Care. He founded
ECRS fifteen years ago after being a
caregiver for his ailing father for over
four years. He was instrumental in
organization of the Sacramento chapter of
the Alzheimer’s Association,
has authored numerous articles on elder
care and is a frequent public speaker on
elder care issues. |

Therese
Johnson
has a degree in gerontology from American
River college and is a senior care consultant.
Her professional experience includes seven
years as administrator of a board and
care home and involvement in caring for
Alzheimer’s patients.
Therese
was involved in getting the State to pass
a law to pay for assisted living for low
income Medi-Cal patients. |

Linda
Himan is a senior care consultant
and has over twenty years
experience working with seniors. She was
administrator of a board and
care home for eight years and has worked
for many years evaluating seniors for
assisted care placements.
Linda was instrumental in getting the
State to pass a law to pay for assisted
living care for low income seniors on
Medi-Cal. |
